This week we are beginning Boys & Girls Club Spotlights. We will be spotlighting a member, volunteer, staff member or board members each week so you can learn a little more about the individuals who make the Boys & Girls Club such a great place to be. Our first spotlight is on one of our staff members, Miss Ahnessa.

What is your name?

Ahnessa Black

Teen Program Assistant

How long have you worked for the Club?

About two months

What is your favorite part about working for the Boys & Girls Club of Muncie?

The experience with youth and the opportunity to learn more everyday how to be the person I needed when I was younger.

If given the chance, who would you like to be for a day and why?

Beyoncé – she’s all around amazingly talented. Just want to see what that feels like.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

Africa, I want to see where my ancestors are from.

How do you define success?

Genuine happiness. My main goal in life is to be happy, whether that’s doing something that makes me a million dollars or four. Success to me is doing something you love with people you love in a comfortable state.
