PRESS RELEASE: Boys & Girls Club Hosts Annual Trunk or Treat for Muncie Community

Kids of all ages are invited to Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival 2016!
MUNCIE, IN, September 30, 2016 – Boys & Girls Club of Muncie will host the annual Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival on October 28 from 4 – 7 p.m. Local businesses and organizations will line Heekin Park to hand out candy and goodies as kids and families walk through dressed in costumes. Families will also participate in the Annual Fall Festival hosted by Ball State University’s Student Voluntary Services to include activities, games, refreshments and fun! The Fall Festival theme this year will feature a “Spooky/Weird Experience” area to include hands on fun!
To provide a fun and safe alternative to traditional door to door trick-or-treating, the Boys & Girls Club, in partnership with BSU Athletics, is hosting Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival 2016. Families, businesses, groups, and student organizations are invited to distribute candy and goodies during the event. Creativity is encouraged as there will be contests for “Best Trunk” and “Best Costume.” Interested groups should contact Project Coordinator, Jes Wade by phone (765) 282-4461 ext 107 or email: email@example.com.
The event is scheduled for Friday, October 28, 2016 at Heekin Park. Trunk or Treat will start at 4:00 PM and end at 7:00 PM. Groups are invited to register their trunks online at http://www.bgcmuncie.org/fallfestival/.
“We are always excited this time of year to start registering trunks for this fun family annual event,” said Jes Wade, Project Coordinator of the Boys & Girls Club of Muncie. “Trunk or Treat is a safe alternative to door to door trick or treating, and provides an opportunity for the community, including businesses and organizations, to come out and support our kids and families.”
About Trunk or Treat: Trunk or Treat is an annual event designed to provide community members with a safe alternative to door to door trick or treating.
