Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie launches $100,000 campaign for boilers & buses

2022-03-08T16:16:48-05:00

Imagine yourself coming into a building and realizing it's 56 degrees inside and you serve kids. That's what Club life was three weeks ago at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie - Madison St. Unit. Both boilers developed leaks and the staff spent most of their days running up and down to the basement every 30 minutes to get the boilers to 67 degrees. Those boilers were replaced, but that wasn’t in the budget for 2022. Now image yourself a teenager in middle or high school wanting to join a program but can't because transportation is a barrier. That's what [...]

George Floyd Man and Symbol

2021-04-26T11:48:35-04:00

By: Jason Newman, Chief Executive Officer - Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie On April 20, 2021, a Minneapolis jury found former Police Officer Derek Chauvin guilty of Second-Degree Murder, Third-Degree Murder, and Second-Degree Manslaughter in the killing of George Floyd. In his life, George Floyd, was a man. A human being who, like every one of us, had highs and lows. He was [...]
