Block Party to Celebrate AIM Summer Program

MUNCIE, IN, July 28, 2015 – AIM Summer Program will celebrate a successful summer program with an End of Summer Block Party on Friday, August 7th 2015 at the Boys & Girls Club of Muncie from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. The Block Party is free and open to the public. All AIM Summer program participants, families and friends are invited.

The End of Summer Block Party will include games, prizes, food, music and more. Parents will also be able to register kids for fall programs at partnering organizations. AIM Summer culminates an 8-week summer program on August 7th. Each week during the summer participants spent almost three hours a day focused on academics to prepare for the upcoming school year. They also went on a variety of field trips including the Indianapolis Zoo, Ball State Art Museum, Science Central and went swimming every week. AIM is an enrichment program for youth who want to learn, play, and aim higher.

About AIM Summer Collaboration AIM Summer, a unique collaboration between four partnering agencies, hosted a full program this summer focused on academics and enrichment opportunities. Partnering agencies include Boys & Girls Club of Muncie, Motivate Our Minds, Roy C. Buley Community Center and the Ross Community Center. The collaboration is supported financially through grants from the Ball Brothers Foundation, United Way of Delaware County and the City of Muncie’s Community Development Block Grant Program. In addition the collaboration has countless program partners including Muncie Community Schools, Inside Out Community Development Corporation and MITS.
