BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF MUNCIE TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL GREAT FUTURES RECOGNITION LUNCHEON

Lunch to recognize youth, volunteers and supporters of the organization

MUNCIE, IN (November 16, 2015) – The Boys & Girls Club of Muncie is hosting its second annual Great Futures Luncheon, which will highlight the impact of afterschool programs in Muncie, Ind. The event will host nearly 300 attendees, highlight featured speaker, Jud Fisher, and present their annual awards.

Featured speaker, Jud Fisher, president and chief operating office for Ball Brothers Foundation, will provide remarks on today’s youth, challenges the local community face with providing adequate care and support for them, and what Ball Brothers Foundation is doing to improve community options.

The 2015 Horatio Alger Award will be presented to a Club Alumni, which will be announced at the event. The Horatio Alger Award is named after children’s author Horatio Alger, well-known for his stories about young boys who come from humble beginnings and with hard work, integrity, determination, and a strong dedication to help others, rise to respectable positions as community leaders.

Executive Director, Micah Maxwell, will also provide an update on the State of the Club. The Volunteer of the Year award will also be presented, and incoming board members will be recognized.

Sponsorships are still available at $5,000 for Gold Title Sponsors, $2,500 for Silver Presenting Sponsors, $1,000 for Bronze Supporting Sponsors, and $500 for Table Sponsors.
