Friends, family, and staff of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie lined up on October 2 at the Madison Street Unit to kick off the nonprofit’s Annual Just Desserts fundraising campaign by smashing whipped cream pies in the faces of 4 Club volunteers and CEO, Jason Newman. The campaign invited community members to donate any dollar amount from $5 - $75, equating to one pie in the face. Fifty pies were made totaling $3,735.56 raised for the Clubs. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie are excited to announce a new program, in partnership with the YMCA of Muncie, to help support our families, our schools, and most importantly our kids during a difficult academic year. The Clubs have opened a school day program for Muncie Community School Students who are currently enrolled in the Virtual Learning Program. From 7:30 – 6:00, the Clubs will offer a hybrid of out of school time and virtual school time programming to assist our kids, and families, free of charge ($15 Club membership required) for Kindergarten through 12th Grade. September 10, 2020 The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie have expanded their Senior Leadership Team. To better serve our kids, the Clubs reorganized key responsibilities and added a new team member. Amy Gibson is moving from the Director of Grant Based Initiatives to the Director of Resource Development. September 1, 2020 The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie continue to host the annual Just Desserts fundraiser this year on November 6. After School Program

School will be starting soon and the Clubs are looking forward to serving our families and youth from the Muncie Community. Here is the plan: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie will open on Monday, August 17th for the after school program. Elementary Program will have 95 open slots for enrollment. Middle School Program will have 40 slots for enrollment and will have an option for before school care. High School Program will have 40 slots for enrollment. Dear families and friends… The Clubs has had an asymptomatic staff member test positive for COVID-19. We are in the process of testing all of our staff. For the health, safety and well-being of our families, youth and employees, we are temporarily closing our doors for the week of July 7th - July 10th. We feel that the best way to serve you in light of COVID-19 is to closely follow the guidelines set by the Department of Health and our state and health officials.

To all our families: The week of July 13th, the Clubs will announce their after school plan for kindergarten through 5th grade at the Madison St. site, 6th – 8th grade at the Buley Center site and 9th – 12th grade at the Madison St. site.  We look forward to another exciting year; working together to do #WhateverItTakes to Build Great Futures for the youth of Muncie.
